EGSC Clinches Victory in Exciting Rematch with West Kent Pickleball

 In Sports Club News

On Sunday, our team of ‘specially selected picklers’ faced off against West Kent Pickleball in a return fixture at their home venue in Cranbrook. The format consisted of a round of doubles matches against each team’s selected pairs with points scored in each game counting towards a final total. There then followed a second round of games with different pairings.

Having been soundly beaten in our first fixture, it was especially satisfying to discover, when the scores were declared, that we had triumphed this time with a final score of 214 to 194 points. This victory marked a significant turnaround for EGSC and was a testament to our team’s dedication and improvement.

The games concluded with a celebratory ‘coffee and bun’ at a local bakery and café, where everyone gathered to admire the well-deserved Player of the Match medal awarded to Adrian.

The camaraderie and competitive spirit shared by both teams have fostered a strong bond, and there is a shared hope that this will become a regular home-and-away fixture. The Pickleball Spirit is alive and well, and we look forward to many more exciting matches in the future.
