THE RESURFACED 3G PITCH is now good to go and what a joy it is to have such a facility here – and in the next few weeks to be joined by the resurfaced water-based hockey pitch, which will be one of the best in the UK. Our LookOut FanZone (LOFZ!) has been in great use and is a fantastic place to be with sunsets, cold beer, 4 metre screen and brilliant atmosphere; huge thanks to Pete and Alkis from SwingZone Golf for all their hard work to make it happen. Running on the new 3G from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th, 9am to 3pm (with early/late options) at £25 per day – a great fun solution for a week! AIR CONDITIONING AND THE SAUNA … from one extreme to the other! The gym is now cooler, thanks to maintenance work, and a new a/c unit is expected to be delivered and fitted very soon; the Ashdown a/c is much improved and there are two new heating elements and volcanic rocks on order for the sauna, again due very shortly. New sauna lighting will also be installed. We know you have been patient and thank you for that. EGSC AGM is taking place on Wednesday 29 July at 7pm in the Ashdown so please attend if you would like to. |
